Law studied in Bayreuth and Augsburg; internships in the USA and France; admitted to the Berlin Bar in 1989; Notary since 1999; has been working since 1989 in law firms specializing in business law, particularly in contract, company and tax law (until 2020); in 1997 established the Berlin office of a law firm specialising in the area of information technology; operating since 2001 under the name “Ihde & Partner Rechtsanwaelte”; Certified Specialist for Commercial and Corporate Law as well as for Tax Law.

Rainer Ihde focuses on technology companies, especially with respect to contract and company law. In particular his work involves contracts for IT projects, licensing conditions and sales structures and company law issues. As a notary his focus is on real estate and company law.

He advises IT companies in various Supervisory Board positions. He also publishes articles on specific IT law topics and holds a wide range of talks.
