Franziska Kalb

Lawyer

Ms. Kalb studied law, specializing in corporate, commercial, and tax law, at the Universities of Trier and Berlin. In 2018, she passed the First State Examination in Law. She completed her legal clerkship at the Berlin Court of Appeal, including a stint at the Berlin Chamber of Industry and Commerce. She concluded her clerkship in 2022 by passing the Second State Examination in Law. From 2018 to 2020, she completed the master’s program “Corporate Law in an International Context” at the Berlin School of Economics and Law. In her master’s thesis, she examined blockchain technology and the associated digitization processes in the financial sector. Her work focused in particular on initial coin offerings (ICOs) as a novel form of corporate financing at the time. During the final semester of her master’s program, she also served as a lecturer in general contract law. Even while pursuing her LL.M., Ms. Kalb worked for a parliamentary caucus in the German Bundestag. Initially while continuing her studies and subsequently full-time from 2022 to 2025 as a research associate, she primarily supported ad hoc committees, particularly the “Afghanistan” and “Nuclear Phase-out” investigative committees. In April 2024, Ms. Kalb also established her own law practice. Since May 2026, she has been part of the team at Ihde & Partner as an attorney. Her practice focuses primarily on general civil law and trademark law.
